This has been well established.

I'm assuming he meant because one flight is on Southwest and one is on AirTran?
I don't see why they couldn't do the same for an Airtran flight. Ground operations are as far as I know are no longer separate and every Airtran flight has a Southwest flight number. Since these flights were booked on Southwest.com, the OP should have the Southwest flight number for the Airtran segment. But you never know what will happen at the airport.
