Went to apply for Citibank Rewards during lunch. Rather odd comments by CS:
- annual fee for first year is waived, just call the subsequent years to waive it, no specified spending requirement for waiver
- it takes up to one month to get the card approved for MC, while the VISA is "same-day" service (actually meaning, it will be about a week)
- supplementary card does not have annual fee (as opposed to what the fee schedule lists)
#1 and #3, not odd at all per Hong Kong's standard. As long as its not one of the few high end cards, expect not to have to pay for any annual fees at alll.
