Depends on where you are coming from and what kind of passport you hold. If you are coming from inside the Schengen region and/or have an EU passport then it shouldn't be a problem. If you are coming from somewhere else, you never know what kind of line you'll get for the passport/security checks. I waited in line for about 45 minutes to get my exit passport stamp on my US passport the other evening connecting to TLV in Rome coming from MXP and would have missed my connection if it was only an hour, and including time to walk from one side of the airport to the other.
