I too got the email this morning. I'm a little upset about all this, especially since this was not mentioned when I originally made my award booking (back in January 2014).

I understand that when in Rome, you should do as the Romans do, but I just don't like how they're forcing this on us. And of course, yes, I understand that if I'm opposed to this, then don't go on NYE, but then that defeats the whole purpose as I was planning a special getaway for my girlfriend and I to enjoy the countdown in peace and quiet on a secluded island.
