exactly !!! i cover 20+ countries per year as part of my business territory, and i carry 3 CC + 2 ATM cards because they each have, and will, fail in different instances.
AMEX,VS/MC,CHIP,PLUS,CIRRUS,MAESTRO, etc...
carry a variety if you want to be covered.
