Hi everyone new to this forum and been trying to read up on the FAQs. I had a question I haven't been able to find. I just applied for the Chase Ink Plus card for 70000 points for first 5k spent in 3 months. Now I do not spend that much, but I do want the promotional 70k points.
Now I hear about the gift card or vanilla cards and buy money orders to pay back card, but seems as if buying those cards are getting stricter by preventing the use of CC. Now I have my own online business and was thinking of buying something off of the site using the card to rack up the 5k spending and then refunding after points are added. Would Chase remove the points for the refund?
On my Citi card I have done couple refunds on amazon and the points stayed. So I'm trying to figure out ideas, anyone have any other ideas?
Ya, looks like you bit off more than you could chew. I'd suggest reselling. You had a great opportunity with the iPhone 6+ preorders - the 128gb models are selling for over $1500 on ebay right now. If you're smart about it you can make some money while hitting minimum spend requirements. Buying big ticket items with the sole intention of returning crosses my personal line in the sand.
