in a time were quite a few airlines (that are even cheaper in price) offer not only free seat selection for all business class seats (regardless of booking class) but also a better J hard product with at least the same service-level, i'm not sure it is is a very smart move to render one of the last real brownie points - their executive club membership - pretty uninteresting. especially as a silvers (like myself) you are not that tied to BA yet and have no problems in choosing another airlines that offers a better package.
