There are indeed three price levels for N'EX and other limited express trains but the fare difference is very small.

  • Low season (Monday to Thursday except public holidays, between Jan 16-end of Feb, June, Sept, Nov 1-Dec 20) : pay 200 yen less for a reserved seat in a regular car.
  • High season (Mar 21-Apr 5, Apr 28-May 6, July 21-Aug31, Dec 25-Jan 10) : pay 200 yen extra.
