My local Lucky (south bay) has just started stocking Jackfruit. You can smell it the moment you walk in the door, but it's not even in the same ballpark as durian.
I'll take jackfruit over durian any day. I don't get the hype of the latter. It isn't bad (tasting), but I certainly don't ever have any cravings for it. And yes, I had it in Asia (and not in the US after being frozen).
