just completed a one night p&c stay -- used DSU to get a duplex suite - very nice.
yes, it's dated .. but in a very classy, tasteful way. Lots of wood and beige. if you want hipster style and neon lights, don't stay here -- go to a W or something. I think most people that get all huffy about "dated" hotel rooms really have no idea .. try staying at a Holiday Inn airport location in the Midwest and you'll get "dated" rooms bigtime.

that said, yes.. take the diamond amenity.. there was already a nice little platter of treats in the room - clementines and some little sweets. Apparently the F1 event was a big deal for Singapore, as there were F1-themed items in the room (chocolates and a commemorative keychain - lol). This hotel treats their Diamonds very well. Big thumbs up for the staff. Lounge is great.
