Yup! I m glad someone brought this up! I always take necessities in carryon and I check a bag, even if its half empty, and especially if its a tight connection for this very reason. I've had a few nice shopping sprees courtesy of my credit card.
Of course this only works if you are the one actually paying for the ticket on your credit card and/or have this sort of insurance.
Does this work on a FP booking if you bought the pass on your credit card?
