Yes , you now have to wait 18-24 months without applying for ANY AA card (including exec ) in order to now qualify for a regular AA card. Or, you could just follow the 8/65 day rule and apply for another executive card

The actual rule is
Citi will only potentially approve you for any 2 citi cards within a given 65 day period with a minimum of 8 days in between (assuming all the other rules regarding churnability are met) . Given this information, you should be able to figure out when it would be best for you to apply for an AA and/or Hilton card
