Just stayed for a long weekend during the Music Midtown festival. Piedmont Park is only about a 10-block walk down from the hotel, so that was perfect.
Was impressed with the renovation and with the service. Was greeted by name by front desk staff and valets throughout my many ins and outs, and got good recommendations for restaurants, etc.
One thing worth mentioning that I haven't seen previously in this thread is that the hotel is immediately adjacent to a terrific restaurant, Empire State South, which provides a second option beyond Fork and Juniper. I had both lunch and dinner at ESS and it was really great.
FWIW, Fork and Juniper was hit and miss for me - good at breakfast (had the buffet as a Diamond, was quite good) and so-so at lunch. There are limited lunch options and they really seem to be pushing their "Farm Table" item, which is an interesting salad bar +++ concept, but not a great choice for me. On a day where the restaurant was nearly empty took nearly 30 minutes to get a fish sandwich.
All in all though, I'm a fan and thought that this property was much better than, say, the Hyatt Union Square where I also stayed recently.
