Is it normal for Upgrade Request section of a booking to disappear?

Checked the online reservation page for a Wednesday trip I have where the first segment cleared the upgrade list but second segment has not (though F is wide open). The reservation page normally shows the section requesting upgrades, but in this case that area is now missing. Does this normally happen when one or more of a multi-segment upgrade request has been processed but a segment is still pending, or should that section of the res page still be there showing the pending upgrade segment?
