If there was a £200 canx fee in the rules, then that's the rule that should apply; BA can't unilaterally change that later. I have a very dim and hazy recollection (which may be wrong) that the non-ref endorsement on the ticket is intended to stop you being able to just pick up cash at a ticket desk to the value of the ticket, because the refund must be done by the back office so that the canx fee can be applied. Or something like that.

Globaliser, I had in my mind that you might be kind enough to reply as you seem to have a fairly extensive knowledge of the rules (did you ever work in the industry?)
