Probably best to check on another board. I know the new Ritz is right there, truth is ours are such short layovers that we rarely venture out. The train continues to Hong Kong island, there are also plenty of hotels over there. I know there's a Sheraton though I don't recall on which side or how far from the train. The W really does win for convenience, though for a first time visit I suspect you'll find the HKG side more interesting than Kowloon. Good luck!
