They already do bar restroom use for the last 30 minutes into DCA, and sometimes long lines form immediately after a movie on transpacific flights. For males, an empty water bottle works fine, especially if you're discrete. Women can also learn to do this.

I'd love to see an airline make a federal case about it and hear the expert witness testimony about kidney discharge rates, bladder sizes, the effects of prostate enlargement, the consequences of bladder stretching, etc.

"Self help" goes a long way in solving life's problems, from changing your baby on an adjacent seat, to peeing in a bottle, to always washing your hands and using the paper towel to open the airliner restroom door.

Whatever the "policy," deal with it!
