Some comments to add to the pictures I posted above about my recent stay after this converted from an IC to a Conrad:

-was told at check in that I had been upgraded from a deluxe room to an exec room without having to ask ^

-very friendly staff throughout the hotel I must say, even when very busy they were proactive and going out of the way to ask or check everything was okay ^

-256 rooms here I believe and during a chat with the exec lounge staff, after I asked if they were busy earlier on (due to the canapés and drinks times) they told me yes, there were 52 guests in earlier for the evening drinks period! That would mean that at least 1/5 of the hotel was exec rooms or status holders (but I have to admit there was some fancy dress function on with tuxedos and evening gowns so maybe a wedding or high end conference event that artificially inflated numbers? Anyway, it was empty at 21:00 when I arrived but they were still cleaning up and very proactive asking if they could get me anything and having a chat with me. ^

-was told (unofficially) that IHG reservations would be honoured for 3 months after the change over. Thereafter not, imagine this was some agreement between IHG and Hilton.

-I was told I could eat breakfast in either the lounge or the restaurant at check in as well as when I asked for a table at the restaurant. ^ Restaurant was busy with a short queue at times but they still managed to serve everyone well and come around asking if I wanted another coffee/more toast/etc... ^

-the only negative comment I have is that the room I had (443) was facing the street and although the rooms look well insulated (double glazing) you could hear every sound from the road outside...I could actually hear Big Ben ring out the hour, which is quite far away! If you need quiet you MUST ask for a room facing the inside rather than street or you WILL NOT sleep. I had no problem but could imagine it being a big problem for others and indeed this was an issue while it was an IC.

-They switched over from IC to Conrad during one night (after lots of preparation of course) and apparently had 4 hours to change everything needed I was told that some things were still IC items and would be swapped in due course, such as the bedding (I must say the bed was incredibly comfortable and I had one of the best sleeps I have had here).

-I received a welcome letter in the room with the fruit platter and bottles of water (these big ones were in addition to the freebies in the fridge door). The welcome letter mentions a few points such as you can also choose to have breakfast delivered to your room instead of getting it in the restaurant or lounge as a diamond, there is a £ 5 fee to do so but this is quite reasonable in my opinion for those wishing to eat breakfast in the room ^

-As a diamond you can ask for the use of the meeting room they have for free for an hour (which may be of use to some).

-As mentioned earlier, diamonds and gold get free high speed internet access not just the basic level access. It is password protected and the letter tells you the choices you need to make to access this. It worked very well when I tested it and used a VPN connection to the office. ^

-the coffee, tea, milk jug, nespresso capsules and sugar are replaced daily and free of charge, however, if you use all of them and want a same day refill then it would incur a fee (not great by any means).

-I found the bar to have a limited food menu which was disappointing, you could order room service and get the full choice or go to the restaurant but just beware the bar is actually a bar with some limited food choices.

-I'd definitely recommend staying here to anyone if you can get a good rate on points or points and cash, and I hope they reduce the entry level price for rooms to the high £ 200's to low £ 300's to get the cash revenue they surely need at a reasonable price for London and other offerings in the chain.

Think that is everything, if there are any questions please do post and I'll try to see if I can help from memory.
