No, the rewards card is more restrictive in terms of conversion options.

2. Understood from the Wiki that it's 50$ per conversion of 5,000 miles. I assume there is no way to avoid paying this. Does this also mean you can only convert in blocks of 5,000 miles or will it be pro-rata (i.e. 1 cent per mile) for anything above 5,000 miles up to 300$?
I believe you can convert in units of 500 miles, but it's HK$50 per block of 5,000 or any part thereof. So it's most cost-effective to wait until you've got a multiple of 5,000. But I've found I earn so rapidly with this card that it's not that difficult to hit that target.

3. The Ms. shall get a supplementary card linked to my principal card. Will her spending count towards my rewards, and at the same earning rate (1 mile/3$)?
No experience on this one -- someone else will be able to answer.

4. I hold the PM already so I understand I will not receive any welcome offer. But will I need to pay the annual fee in the first year and how do I get it waived in the following years? Will the Ms.' supplementary card annual fee be waived simultaneously if I manage to get mine waived?
It's worth asking them on both points. I went the other way: I started with the Rewards card at a time when they were running a particularly generous offer (the equivalent of 13,000 miles), and added the PM later. I think they automatically waived the first year fee on the PM although I already had the Rewards card. After I had met the spending quota for the PM welcome offer, I emailed them and they credited those points.
