Newsmax has a TV channel? Ick.

I don't know that I'd read much into this, though. I suspect it's more akin to what channa suggested: DTV runs the show, so to speak, and for whatever reason, they're defaulting to Newsmax.

I have plenty of other questions about the DTV systems, though, like why it's so hard to turn it off (you have to dim the screen completely), and why even once you've done so, it comes back on during the flight seemingly at random.
