I wonder if this might be the beginning of the end for MH flights from LHR now anyway - at least for the time being? Would make the lounge access issue pretty redundant if so!
Malaysia being a former British colony makes it highly unlikely that they'd stop KUL-LHR services altogether. An MH staff based in LHR had also been quoted saying that the route would continue due to its consistently high loads. Whether its profitable or not is another question. A frequency cut to 1x daily however is definitely possible.
