If people were influenced by the cost of drinks, then from a behavioural economics perspective I'd suggest the opposite. People will be taking advantage of the complimentary drinks pre-10pm (i.e. "loading up") rather than phasing their drinking. Either way, for $600, I'd feel nickel and dimed having to pay for my drinks after 10pm.
