Readers who limit their interest to this forum may not realize it, but there really is a noticeable difference. Post a grievance on AA, CX, QF, etc. and you'll be probably be advised how to seek compensation (or not). Here, my personal feeling is that "you're a scoundrel to suggest you've been wronged" is far more common.

I'm surprised that such responses are tolerated - they put a pall on new posts and reasoned debate by anyone not willing to expose himself to such responses..
Some people get jumped on when they praise the service they have received when flying BA. The post by scillyisles further up the thread attacks someone by saying ''For example - in a recent thread, I winced when I read one apologist saying that the food in First was good - it made me wonder what sort of food this person eats day to day''.

So it works both ways which is fine by me as long as it stays civil. It's a discussion forum not an agony aunt column.
