1. The best case scenario is if I could get my entire trip moved by a week. Is this possible to do so for a reasonable price with a Z class business fare?

2. Other options include my wife flying to HEL as scheduled and me joining her there after finishing my business trip. Is it possible for me to convert my current ticket into a one way (basically just leaving my return leg intact) without paying a arm and a leg?
Basically the way to think about how changing your ticket works is this: If you want to change your ticket, then Delta will just subtract your change fee from the original ticket price and issue you a Delta credit for the difference. The credit will typically be valid until the one-year anniversary of the original ticket purchase date. You can then apply the credit to any new booking. (Though sometimes they are picky about insisting that you use a credit from an international flight towards another international flight, sometimes not. I have not figured this secret out to this one yet.)

Your change fee is most likely going to be $450/ticket. That's sort of the standard for Z tickets.

Personally if I were in your situation, I'd be asking my employer for $900 if it comes to having to cancel my vacation. Or asking them to fly me from PVG-HEL.

Of course if you're self-employed, then the above doesn't apply.
