That's key though...any one connection is under 4 hours. One can fly ANC-PDX-SEA-SJC-KOA (or could before in one day). As long as the connection for each flight is under 4 hours you're ok. Even if not all segments have an F cabin or are eligible to upgrade (ie SEA-SJC has no U but other two do).
