WHO CARES if someone has RAZOR BLADES???

No one is going to hijack an airplane with them. Ever.

Good Lord, what kind of nation have we let ourselves become? We see 'terrorists' behind every plant and mailbox. Every person who tries to travel has a presumption of guilt placed upon them. People walk around with guns and knives and <gasp> even razor blades without going on hijacking-related killing sprees.

Chicken Little has nothing on many of the 'Fraidy Cats in the TSA who have managed to convince so many that the World will End Tomorrow if anyone has a sharp object on a plane!!!

I care - it's entirely possible that this person wouldn't get so far as to hijack a plane with razor blades again. I don't think that someone with a gun or any other weapon, with the possible exception of a bomb, would be able to take down another U.S. commerical airliner. None the less, I don't want to be the first person that he kills as he begins whatever it is he has in mind, and if searching him at the gate or entrance to the terminal prevents that then I'm for it. I firmly believe in my rights as a U.S. citizen but people are alot different when those rights were first written. How many people were sneaking weapons into airports and using airplanes as missiles when they were written? People didn't even have locks on their doors back when those rights were first drawn up. I don't think this should be an excuse to take rights away but they certainly need to be "tweaked" to meet the needs of today's violent, selfish society. People are different, and there are ALOT more of us as well.

ZVEZDA - NOBODY hides razor blades in their show simply to avoid carrying a bag on board - get real.
