Really?!? I find it entirely plausible that someone might want to take razor blades with him on a trip, but not to check luggage. I stopped shaving with a straight razor only after TWA800 and only because I was tired of being hassled by airport security.
Of course, in today's environment of cosmetic security, it's stupid to try to carry razor blades onto an airplane, but stupidity doesn't preclude innocence. Unless there is evidence of criminal intent which has not been released to the public, this man's civil and constitutional rights are being violated. If we jailed everyone guilty of stupidity, we would have a whole new set of problems.
