I feel the need for a rant about the "Welcome to British Airways. Please select a country and language" box.

Admittedly I will be in the minority here, but my browser clears its cookies whenever I close it. That means basically every time I go to BA.com, I get the box. I have two problems with it:

1) There is a cross button in the corner, but it doesn't really work. If you dismiss the pop-up (as I habitually do), it will come back on every single page, even the "please wait while we search for your flights" holding page. And when you finally relent, pick your country and click continue, it then redirects you back to the home page. It will even kick you out of half way through the booking process, all the way back to the homepage. Basically, it is very sloppily implemented. Something like that should always put you back to your current page, if at all possible (the only excuse would be if that page doesn't exist in your new location/language setting), not to a default page.

2) Again, slightly niche, but my work's proxy server is in Germany, so I am always geo-located there by websites. Instead of clicking "UK", I now have to scroll through to find the right option. The old interstitial page was a bit annoying, but at least it had the quick link option at the bottom. Is it too much to ask for a UK airline to have a UK/English quick option?
