I once experienced a lady getting up to go to the lavatory just as we were about to turn onto the active takeoff runway.
On most Chinese and Philippines airlines it is treated as a
final warning to go to the toilet.
It is a rare event on CEBU and PAL not to see a queue of several people in line for the toilet with wheels down on final approach. On two occasions I have landed with somebody still in the toilet.
On Chinese internal flights it is normal to see someone get up to get something from overhead lockers as the plane is on the runway.
