I believe some people go via the route of Home Owners or rental insurance as some policies covers electronics.

There are pros and cons about insurance like that though. I used to loose phones all the time w/ asurion (like once every 6 months) until I got rid of it. Now, I watch my phone like a hawk and haven't lost my phone in several years (and saved money in the process).
