For those of you considering other accommodations in Norman, the Hilton Garden Inn just down I-35 from the Embassy Suites was a delightful place to stay with nice rooms and comfortable beds.

Unlike the Embassy Suites, I was recognized by the staff as a Diamond elite member of Hilton and provided the appropriate amenities. The staff was well trained and friendly and was helpful in making dining choices for the evening that I stayed with them.

Unfortunately, the only room available was a smoking room which smelled like someone had smoked a cigar there recently. Nothing they could do about that, too bad all Hilton properties are not smoke free.
