This. Terminal A needs to be bulldozed and completely rebuilt. If they're going to keep the pier-style, they need to be connected airside (its rediculous that connecting UA to AC or vice-versa requires one to go through security again, and in the case of connecting to AC, no lounge access).

I've never found the current options in EWR C to be bad. In fact, even for flights out of terminal A, I usually clear security in C, then eat or use the lounge there, then take the bus over. The minimal vending options in A are a disgrace.

Then there's IAD. Perhaps they can come up with a plan to actually build a terminal C within the vicinity of the train station for it.

Luckily for me, I've usually ended up connecting in ORD.
