Focus on the Port Authority, not Re-Imagining by OTG

The challenges at EWR Terminal C don't involve restaurants and iPads. The terminal is owned and operated by the Port Authority. EWR makes a lot of $$ for the Port Authority and none of it gets re-invested in the physical structure. At LGA, it took an intervention by the Governor to get long overdue capital improvements.

When I transit EWR, I often send written comments to the Port Authority about the importance of passenger service improvements. As a result, I have received a number of rebuffs which are - frankly - ridiculous.

My question is to whom is the Port Authority accountable? Is their governance accountable? Or is it a joke? (like YYZ!)
