EasyJet Discusses $6 Billion Order With Boeing, Airbus
U.K. no-frills carrier easyJet PLC (U.EZJ) said Wednesday that it is pursuing talks with Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA - News) and Airbus (F.ABI) for an estimated $6 billion contract that could turn out to be the largest order for new aircraft in 2002.
The airline said it is too early to pin down a number for the scale of the order until its acquisition of Go Fly Ltd. (U.GOF) has been completed.
