Its a prepaid rate, so since it is just 1 night (or due to rules for entire stay if it was more then 1 night) he is entitled to no refund for not showing. The automated email that was sent to him seems pretty standard and it is unlikely that they change the wording on it for each individual booking. I would be quite surprised if his CC was charged again
But no-show means no stay credit - so definitely worth creating a stink!
