It will not - because as you can see on this thread, people feel they can wear whatever they want in the name of comfort. So the flip flops & sweatpants & jump suits & pajama bottoms, etc... will not stop because people don't think there is anything wrong with it.
I disagree, but realize that I am in the minority.
I am even in a smaller minority. I will dress in business casual (even on a vacation trip to the tropics) but wear sandals (by my definition, same as a flip-flop but has a piece wrapping behind the ankle).
I can not stand uncomfortable shoes. Yes, I am the guy who would go barefoot, except I live in fear of a pic being posted on the Flyertalk thread of shame
