If it has different terms, then even if cheaper there would be no claim under best rate guarantee
I was only commenting on Flex Rate brg's, and the sometimes onerous restriction OTAs must be at least as good as IHG.COM's terms.
I believe that on Flex rate the OTA just has simply to be at "least as generous" as the IHG hotel.
So if OTA flex is 12noon day before and IHG.COM 4pm day before BRG gets refused, whilst in this case in point, OTA 12noon day before versus IHG.COM 14days before meets the BRG Flex cancelation period test.
