To my knowledge, business class travel is a big no-no for federal travelers except in very rare cases. I have a coworker who tried to book a first class ticket because it was the cheapest option available but was denied because... you know... government. Of course, if you want to pay for upgrades on your own dime, they won't stop you.

MSPeconomist, so they'll let a first class seat be empty before they give it to someone without status? What about economy plus? Will they not give those out either? Even to a limping tall guy?
