Compensation from AA for a broken outlet

I flew domestically on AA using Avios in June. On my flights the outlets under my seat did not work. I promptly emailed AA to see if I could get some sort of compensation and they said no. They said that there is only one outlet box per set of seats so that only a certain amount of people can use it at a time. However, noone else was using the outlets so that had nothing to do with my situation.

Is this worth some sort of compensation from AA or BA? Or is this to minor? Without outlets I am unable to use my laptop the whole flight so it is a somewhat big deal to me.
