I have to say I haven't noticed these water goblets, but haven't really paid too much attention up until now...will do so going forward.

However, pearls/ opal are not _that_ popular in jewellery stores here..so if the water goblets are ubiquitous, is it because the workers themselves don't know why...or some other, still cryptic reason?
