If I do end up finishing early I'll probably just ring the GGL line and see what they say. Worst comes to worst I may be able to find a cheap-ish one way with one of the gulf carriers I suppose.
Just to complete this. I've just got off the GGL line and as expected there are no changes allowed (although the agent did genuinely seem to want to help, and asked for circumstances surrounding my changed plans in case it was some sort of medical issue etc where they may show discretion I guess). So its a one way back home on Qatar for me!
