I have browsed this thread as much as possible but I am confused on a fairly simple question because I am receiving conflicting information. I am flying from Los Angeles to Paris on LH with a 2 hr 45 min layover in Frankfurt. All flights are LH metal. It is an UA award ticket in economy. Where do I clear passport control?

This thread: apparently states passport control will be in FRA but maybe I am misreading.

LH Agent1: You will go through passport control in Paris. I double checked.

LH Agent2: You will go through passport control in Frankfurt. I double checked.

LH Agent 3: You will go through passport control in Paris. I double checked. Yes I am sure this is the correct information. The previous agent was wrong.

Please help me understand!

Another question (slightly OT): there is an earlier FRA/CDG flight: will LH allow me to get on that flight if space is available? Thank you very much!
