Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and looking for some advice on buying tickets.

I am hoping to fly EDI to JFK (16/12/14) and HOU to EDI (5/1/15). I have price compared the ticket as a multi-city booking and came up with what appears to be a good price (£427) on KAYAK, all flights operated by BA. This price is only available through 'eDreams', the same flights are £605 on the BA website. They were available for £427 through BA's website until yesterday, so obviously I'm getting a bit jittery and looking to book ASAP!

However I am wondering if I will earn the same Avios and Tier points if I book through eDreams? I've done some research on the matter and most people have said it should be fine as it is the airline that awards the points, however some have stated that if they are 'bulk tickets' then I will not earn Avios. Can anyone advise on how I can find out this information before I book?

On a side not I'm also interested as to why eDreams can offer such a low fare? I imagine that the inner workings of these agencies are very complex but it intrigues me that their prices have not risen in unison with BA's!
