Somewhere-IST-somewhere will indeed generally be cheaper,however I have never had a problem with taking out my bags in IST when I have a long layover,might be bcs TK tend to be lax abouth theese things,though,might be bcs I tend to fly from EZE,where their also rather lax abouth theese things,though!!
