Thanks for confirming about the luggage all the way through, that does make a big difference however I do like the security of having the fight all on one booking incase of any problems so think I will bite the bullet and call them to get it al added together (missing the flight for our wedding is not really a good idea!)
Yes I would recommend doing that. Although it is all BA and they should assist if the domestic is delayed, having it all on one ticket will just rule out any possibility that they won't.
Adding a domestic segment will not cost any additional avios but you will need to pay a change fee and extra taxes/fees/charges.
