From what I have seen over the past 3-4 years, it is far easier to get a business card as a sole proprietor with 1 year, $0 revenue and 1-5 employees than it is to get one with a registered business with an EIN. That has just been what I have noticed from posts and my own (limited) experience.
I have seen more than one person get denied on a second business card for a named business with an EIN, etc.
If you apply for a new card for the same business AFAIK it will always give you a new Master Account and new individual card accounts.
