In summary, I will never stay in West Maui again. If you ever were debating West Maui vs Wailea, there is no comparison, I cannot even begin to describe how different they are.
I agree with
ejong on West Maui vs. Wailea.
Even though the scenery is nice in Wailea, I was underwhelmed by our three-night stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea as the rooms and property overall were tired and with the exception of the bar area, the service was ho-hum.
I regularly stay at The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas and try to stay when kids are in school. We really enjoy it. AND we have also stayed in West Maui at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and it blows the Fairmont Kea Lani - Wailea away!
