Cancelling or applying for cards does not usually trigger a Financial Review; unusual spending does.
Thanks for the clarification. I was aware that AMEX will do FR in situation of unusual spending although this would feel somewhat unreasonable to many of us...
I'm just trying to avoid (which it doesn't seem like i can) a situation where I cancel two amex cards and apply for two more and triggering the FR ... I've been bit by the FR bug once before when trying to increase my credit limit.
