Thanks for the hotel suggestions.

I did end up booking the Fairmont, though I realized later when booking an LAX hotel that it is triple points at the Hilton

. I'll use up some of my food certs on a nice meal one evening and maybe take the Metro out the other evening if the area isn't that great. I am looking to spend much of the middle day at Purple mountain and the related attractions - hopefully it doesn't rain!
