Back then, I priced Innsbruck to Zurich on OeBB separately from Zurich (and Milan) to Barcelona on SBB/CFF. The Zurich/Milan-Barcelona segment was in the order of €400+ for 2 (albeit with dinner) while the CNL to Chiusi-Cianciano Terme (was headed to Siena) was less than 1/2. Made it an easy decision, even though the ship from Rome to Florida was 2x as expensive as the Barcelona-Florida.
